Shincheonji Thaddaeus Tribe Opens Church Doors for 20 Years, Strengthening Community in Jeonju

The Shincheonji Thaddaeus Tribe (Doma Tribe) in Jeonju has continued a long-running community engagement initiative, keeping its church facilities open to local residents for nearly two decades. Located in Palbok-dong, Jeonju, the Shincheonji Thaddaeus Tribe Jeonju Church recently hosted another “Open Sanctuary” event, transforming its lobby into a welcoming space for neighborhood interaction. Residents gathered to enjoy busking performances, exchange handwritten message cards, and share tea in a relaxed setting. According to the church, the initiative is not a one-time event but part of a 20-year tradition of lowering physical and social barriers between religious facilities and the surrounding community. Shincheonji Grand Bible Seminar - April 22nd, April 30th, May 6th

The pandemic changed many things in our lives. The life we are living right now is so much different from what it used to be. After three years of the pandemic, we adopted a new way of life and we now know how to live together with Covid-19. Yes, now we are slowly going back to how we used to live before Covid-19. However, most of us probably agree that life will never be the same as it used to be before Covid-19.

One of the changes in our life is how gatherings take place. Before the pandemic, people meet in person, face to face. During the pandemic, online platforms provided a place for people to gather together virtually. This change is now heading toward a hybrid form – online and offline meetings held at once.

Shincheonji’s Grand Bible Seminar is one good example of a hybrid form of gathering. Last Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, Shincheonji had its first offline Bible seminar after Covid-19. This seminar was live-streamed through Youtube as well. Thus, people could participate in this seminar either online or in person. Two more seminars are coming up, on April 29th in Busan and May 6th in Daejeon, and they are both held offline and online.

As a result of the previous Revelation’s Prophecy and Fulfillment Seminars, 1200 church leaders from 57 countries signed MOUs with Shincheonji and 280 churches from 15 countries changed their signboards to “Shincheonji Church of Jesus.” What is making this exponential growth of Shincheonji Church?

The reason why so many people are rushing into Shincheonji and be a part of Shincheonji church is because this is not a work of a person but of God. Jesus said that prophesy is given so that we may believe when it is fulfilled (Jn 14:29). And Shincheonji Church is testifying the fullfillment of Revelation, the prophesy of the New Tastament. Realizing that  Shincheonji Church is where God's work is being performed, people cannot help but to be part of Shincheonji.

Thanks to the pandemic, you have options to choose from when it comes to attending the seminar. Literally, you can check the fulfillment of the prophesy anytime and anywhere. What it takes is your willingness. If you are a true believer and believes in what Jesus said, you should take a chance to listen to the witness of the Revelation. Whether in-person or through live-stream, why don't you take a chance to participate in the seminar?
