[Book] Marygold Mind Laundry

Title: Marygold Mind Laundry

Author: Jungeun Yoon

Marygold Mind Laundry is a place to heal people's broken hearts for different reasons. In this laundry people can choose to erase experience of feelings that they want to remove from their life. The life story of visitors are common enough that you might have experienced in your own life and feel sympathy for them.

While reading this book, I referred back to my own life and thought about things that hurt my heart severely. I asked myself, 'if I could, is there anything I want to eraze from my life?' I concluded that I don't want to remove any of my past experience from my life because even though they are part of me even if they hurt me so much. Do you have any experience of life event that you would like to erase from your life? Also, would you like to remove them completely from your life if you have an option to do so?

Here are some quotes from the book that I want to remember from this book.

"One's own wounds are the biggest and most painful for oneself."

"Those wounds that hurt too much, one does not take it out and hide it in their heart because one has no courage to take it out and treat it."

"After washing, the stain will come off completely as if it never happened. Because there are feelings that is better to erase and to keep. So think carefully to make decision since one does not know what is good and what is bad when one have them."

"If one could undo what one regrets and erase stain-like pain, would one become happy? Can one really be happy if one erase just that one thing?"

"Just live and don't die. Find the meaning and fun after you live. Don't forget that you are enough as who you are. Look at the start inside you, not the stars in the sky. You are shining even in the darkness. Remember. Whoever you are, even if you are not wearing a fancy clothes but wearing a dirty clothes, you are already shining like a star just by existing."

"Don't worry about things not happened yet. Just live for today. Live well today, and once tomorrow comes, then live that day. That's it."

"Happiness is already within you. Happiness is here right now. You cannot change the past but future to live hasn't come yet. Thus, just focus today, the day you are living right now. If you walk a step from here, that is the past. A step forward is present, not future."
