UN Human Rights Council Receives Petition on Minorities in South Korea

What began as a domestic legal dispute in South Korea has officially reached the global stage. CAP LC, a prominent international human rights NGO holding special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has submitted a formal written statement to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). [News] Delivery of Refillable Glass Botte of Coca-Cola

Are you interested in saving the Earth? There are many movement to reduce the use of plastics as a part of an effort to save the Earth and resources. I am also very interested in cutting back the usage of plastic cups, plastic bags, or other disposable products.  That is why I bring my own tumbler when going to a cafe to buy a drink and my own reusable grocery bags when going to shops.

Because I am interested reducing plastic pollution, one article caught my attention. Though I don't normally drink soft drinks, it was interesting because it shows how companies are putting efforts to try out different things to do their social responsibility.

So here is the story! Coca-Cola has started a testing service of a new delivery system since June, 2023. Parterning with the UK milk and grocery delivery company named Milk & More, Coca-Cola products are delivered to customers' doorsteps in refillable glass bottles. This service is a tryout which will run during the summer, 2023 in South London and central Southern English area.

Customers are instructed to rinse and leave the bottle on their doorstep after enjoying the soft drinks that were delivered to their home. These collected bottles will then be sent for washing and refilling. One bottle is refilled up to 20 times and then be recycled. Coca-Cola wants to make their production using this reusable bottles upto 25% by the year 2023. This system will contribute to reduce carbon emission. If you are a fan of soft drinks but concerned about the environment, I think this can be "meaning out" to you!
