The "Heavenly Exam": 7,400+ Believers in Busan Challenge Themselves with Bible Memorization

While many are moving away from religious texts, one community in Busan is doing the exact opposite. The Shincheonji Andrew Tribe recently held its "Heavenly Exam" (Cheonguk-gosi) , a rigorous test focused on memorizing and understanding the Book of Revelation. Why the "Heavenly Exam"?   This isn't just about grades. It's about a "spiritual reset." After seeing a massive 3-fold increase in participants compared to last year, over 7,459 believers sat for the exam on March 28th. The goal? [News] Scent Technology - Using AI for Fragrances

Do you like fragrance or perfume? Scent technology which combines fragrance and technology is becoming prevalent globally. It is a technology using AI while creating fragrances or creating digital fragrance. Recently an AI which has better sense of smell is introduced.

Actually, many companies around the world is eager to develop scent technology. Global market size of the scent technology saw annual growth of 11.4 % since 2020. In 2020, market size was $900 million and it is expect to reach $2billion dollars in 2027.

There is trend of using technology such as AI when making perfumes. For example, AI helps a perfumers to find the fragrance that they are looking for, or suggesting personalized perfume based on one’s taste or preference. As for perfumers, using this technology is beneficial as it can save time and reduce cost when making perfumes.

Additionally, digital fragrance devices such as smart fragrance diffusers are developed. It is a device helping one to choose the fragrances and even remotely control the time for spraying fragrances using a mobile application. Do you know what is more surprising? There is a device which adds fragrances to the videos. For example, if there is a scene about a café, you can actually smell the coffee. Scent technology is also used in medical field to treat sleep disorder or detecting drugs on behalf of drug detection dogs.

In the future, we may have an AI with superior sense of smelling. The world famous journal Science introduced an AI with amazing sense of smell. A research team made a map that connects the molecular structure and smell and applied this map to AI. As a result, this AI was able to predict untrained smell if they are aware of molecular structure. However, there are limitation as well. This AI cannot recognize complex smells (combination of different smells). Detecting combined smell is the next goal this research team will work on. Wondering how technology development will further go and change our lives!
