A Gentle Footstep Toward Heroes: "Thank You for Remembering Us"

Between September 3 and 22, 2026, 202 Volunteers from 10 Shincheonji Volunteer Group Branches Nationwide Honored 2,498 National Veterans and Fallen Heroes Through Food Deliveries, Headstone Cleaning, and Personalized Care Ahead of Chuseok. In September, ahead of Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), a warm greeting echoed through the home of a national veteran in Wonju. Volunteers arrived bearing gifts of handcrafted holiday food. "You made this yourself?" the elderly veteran asked, a smile spreading across his face as he received the songpyeon (half-moon rice cakes), jeon (fritters), and sikhye (rice punch). "Having young people visit and listen to my old stories brings great joy and gratitude." This small moment was just one instance from a massive nationwide outreach.  According to the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report Spring 2024, desire to express personal authenticity and value come to the forefront of fashion with multi-faceted colors. While pursuing calm and familiar comfort given in the simpler time, joyful and positive feelings are highlighted with the “eclectic mix of vibrant hues, nature inspired tones and reliable core heritage shades” in Sprint 2024’s colors.

Pantone’s color gets attention every year globally. The reason behind this is because Pantone is the first to develop the color formula with number and symbol. When Pantone started its business in 1950s, it noticed that each manufacturer came with different color of ink even if they requested the same color. In order to have consistency in specific color, they created 500 colors using 10 base colors and gave each color symbol and number. As many industry utilized this color system, Pantone became a renowned color institute. Wonder how 2024 colors will apply in different industries!

As winter settles in and the year comes to a close, many people begin to feel the cold more deeply—especially seniors living alone, neighbors with disabilities, and those who have served the nation. To bring warmth and comfort to these communities, graduates of Zion Christian Mission Center Class 116 from both the Andre Tribe and the Peter Tribe stepped forward for a special act of love: kimchi sharing. Though the two events took place in different cities, the heart behind them was the same.
