A Long-Awaited Gathering on Lunar New Year at Focoa

After what felt like forever, I finally reunited with my friends for a cozy brunch at Focoa! It was the perfect way to celebrate the first day of the Lunar New Year holidays. Good food, great company, and plenty of laughter made for a memorable start to the year. 😊

Nestled in the heart of Mokdong, Focoa is a hidden gem that’s loved for its calm, inviting atmosphere and carefully crafted dishes. It was the ideal spot to relax, catch up, and savor every moment together.

Here’s what we had:

🍴 Focoa Brunch: Tender sous-vide roast beef paired with creamy carrot hummus, fresh veggies, and rich gravy sauce—such a perfect combination!

🍝 Perilla Shrimp Pasta: A unique oil pasta made with fragrant perilla leaves and juicy shrimp. It was so flavorful and satisfying!

🍳 Eggs in Hell: A spicy, hearty tomato stew topped with soft poached eggs. This comforting dish was packed with flavor and warmth.

Catching up after so long really reminded me of how special these moments are. Sharing stories, laughter, and delicious dishes made this Lunar New Year truly unforgettable. I’m so grateful for friends and the moments we create together.

Here’s to more reunions like this in the year ahead! 🌸
