Shincheonji Church Expands to the Ends of the Earth: Haenam Church Dedication
Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues its remarkable growth with the dedication of Haenam Church on January 23rd, marking its elevation as the seventh domestic branch of the Peter Tribe in Korea. Over 3,000 people gathered to celebrate this milestone, reinforcing Shincheonji’s mission to spread the revealed gospel worldwide.
The Symbolic Role of Haenam
Located at Korea’s southernmost tip, Haenam symbolizes both an end and a beginning, many embark on a pilgrimage across Korea, beginning or concluding their journey at Haenam. It also has symbolic meaning in spiritual way as it is a location that many people aligns with with Matthew 24:14: “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world... and then the end will come.”
Previously part of the Mokpo Church, Haenam Church now leads evangelism efforts in southwestern Korea, continuing its mission to spread God’s Word. The Bible frequently references the 'ends of the earth' and the 'east' as places where God's work begins, making this dedication all the more significant.
Chairman Man Hee Lee’s Encouragement
Chairman Man Hee Lee attended the dedication, emphasizing that just as Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming, the prophecies of Revelation are now being realized. He urged believers to recognize the fulfillment of God’s Word and testify to the truth. He also reminded the congregation that true faith is not based on human thoughts but on God's promises, which are now coming to fruition.
Chairman Lee further stressed the importance of understanding and keeping God’s Word exactly as written, without adding or taking away from it, as warned in Revelation 22:18-19. He encouraged believers to become true witnesses of the Word by seeing its fulfillment firsthand and living according to God’s teachings. He emphasized that today’s faith must align with the reality of God’s work, urging members to commit themselves fully to spreading the gospel and building God’s kingdom on earth.
A Call to Global Evangelism
Peter Tribe leader Yoo Jae-wook highlighted Haenam’s significance as both a starting and ending point, urging members to spread the truth worldwide. Head lecturer Kang Seung-won committed to fostering a church rooted in the light of the Word and active community engagement. The event was filled with joy as believers reaffirmed their mission, pledging to bring God’s Word to all people, fulfilling the task of evangelizing to the ends of the earth.
A Celebration of Faith and Unity
