Chairman Lee Man-hee's Call for Understanding Revelation: A Groundbreaking Movement in Christianity

On March 30, Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus visited the Matthias Tribe Church in Daejeon, delivering a powerful message emphasizing the importance of fully understanding the Book of Revelation. His visit drew an audience of over 10,000 attendees, including pastors, congregation members, and journalists, all eager to hear his words on the completion of God’s 6,000-year work and the path to salvation.


A Historic Gathering in Daejeon

Chairman Lee’s arrival at Matthias Tribe Church was met with a grand welcome. Traditional Korean honor guards and children holding national flowers greeted him warmly, creating a scene that one observer described as "angels descending from heaven." The event highlighted the growing recognition of Shincheonji’s teachings and the urgency of understanding biblical prophecy.

During the service, Matthias Tribe Leader Jang Bang-sik introduced Chairman Lee as the promised pastor of the New Testament, directly receiving the word from God, Jesus, and the angels (Revelation 10). The congregation then lifted their voices in a hymn celebrating the kingdom of God, setting the stage for Chairman Lee’s sermon.

The Call for a Public Bible Test

Chairman Lee made a bold statement: “We must test our knowledge of the Bible through a public examination to distinguish true doctrine from falsehood.” He emphasized that distorting the Book of Revelation would lead to disaster and that only those who thoroughly understand it can attain salvation.

He challenged the Christian community, stating, “Can those who do not understand the Word call others heretics? The truth must be proven through evidence.” His call for an open Bible test aims to clarify biblical truths and separate fact from misunderstanding.

Fulfilling the Prophecy of Revelation

Chairman Lee stressed the importance of the Word, reminding the audience that God (John 1:1) and Jesus (1 John 1:1) are both described as the Word. He explained that faith must be rooted in the correct understanding of the Bible. “If you do not follow the words of Jesus, you cannot be saved,” he warned, highlighting the necessity of aligning one’s faith with God’s truth.

He reinforced that the prophecies in Revelation are being fulfilled today. He pointed to Revelation 10, where one person receives and eats the open scroll, emphasizing that only the one who has witnessed the fulfillment of prophecy can testify about it. He urged believers to examine themselves: “Who am I in the Bible? Have I been created according to the Book of Revelation?”

He also referenced Revelation 7, explaining that after the corruption of God’s chosen people in Revelation 6, God seals 144,000 individuals from the 12 tribes. These sealed individuals make up the new kingdom and the new people of God, living in the place where God’s throne resides (Revelation 4, 14, 15, 21).

Awakening Pastors and Journalists

The event left a deep impact on many attendees. A pastor from a Presbyterian church admitted, “After 30 years in ministry, I realize that only Shincheonji truly understands the Book of Revelation. I am now studying the Word here.”

A journalist who frequently attends Shincheonji events remarked, “No other place has the order and inspiration of Shincheonji. Every visit fills me with new strength.”
