Bridging the Generational Gap: Shincheonji Seodaemun Church Restores Family and Community Connections

In an increasingly fast-paced digital world, generational gaps and declining family satisfaction have become significant social challenges in South Korea. According to Statistics Korea’s 2024 Social Survey, the percentage of citizens who report feeling satisfied with their family relationships dropped to 63.5% (a 1.0% decrease from two years prior). Crucially, the data revealed a steep perceptual divide: while 80.8% of those under 20 felt satisfied, only 55.0% of seniors aged 60 and over echoed that sentiment. To address this deepening emotional isolation, the Seodaemun Church of the Simon Tribe of Shincheonji launched a structured "Intergenerational Buddy Program" during the Month of Families, creating a unique space for open dialogue, mutual respect, and emotional healing. Creating Three Axis of Generational Connection Rather than hosting a typical one-way event, the Seodaemun Church intentionally paired its six internal departments into three distinct, cross-generational ...

Shincheonji Andreas Tribe Hosts Word Seminar: Revelation as the Hidden Truth

On September 21, 2025, the Andreas Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (led by Tribe Head Lee Jung-woo) held a large-scale Word Seminar at the Busan Andreas Training Center. The event gathered an audience of more than 4,000 participants, including pastors from established denominations, believers, and citizens seeking clarity on the Bible’s final book—Revelation.

A Theme Rooted in Hope

Under the theme “God’s Purpose and Our Hope,” Tribe Head Lee Jung-woo delivered the keynote lecture, testifying to the prophecies of Revelation and their fulfillment in reality. He explained that the Bible is not simply a moral guide, but rather God’s covenant that is destined to be accomplished.

“The Bible contains God’s thoughts, heart, will, and plan,” he said. “Revelation is the book where Jesus opened the hidden truth to show what must take place. It is not abstract but a promise that will be fulfilled.”

This was the third seminar hosted at the Andreas Training Center in 2025. Earlier in February and May, Chairman Man Hee Lee himself had spoken there, stressing the importance of believing and practicing faith according to the Scriptures.

Key Messages from the Lecture

Tribe Head Lee shared three critical points that drew strong attention from the audience:

  1. Revelation must not be altered – citing Revelation 22:18–19, he emphasized that eternal life cannot be attained if God’s word is added to or taken away.

  2. No one in the world knew Revelation before its fulfillment – he pointed out that countless commentaries exist, but without the reality they remain distorted.

  3. There is one promised messenger who testifies to the fulfillment – Lee underlined that believers must meet the figure prophesied in Scripture (the “John” of Revelation) and confirm the testimony directly.

Pastors’ Reactions

The seminar was not only an academic exploration but also a moment of conviction. One pastor shared:

“Just as the early disciples risked their lives to spread the gospel at the First Coming, I was deeply moved by the passion to testify to the fulfilled gospel of Revelation today. I hope to also become a witness of this word.”

Continuing the Mission

A representative of Shincheonji Andreas Tribe added:

“Revelation is God’s final promise. We will continue to share both its prophecy and fulfillment, inviting everyone to see and hear for themselves and make an open-hearted judgment.”

With thousands in attendance and pastors openly acknowledging the depth of the message, the Busan Word Seminar marked yet another milestone in Shincheonji’s ongoing effort to share the fulfilled testimony of Revelation with the world.
