Shincheonji Songha Church Hosts Revelation Seminar in Gwangju and Jeonnam
A Gathering of Thousands for the Word
On September 21, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Songha Church (Peter Tribe) in Gwangju hosted the “Revelation Fulfillment Testimony Seminar”. More than 3,000 participants—including believers, pastors, and local citizens—filled the church to hear the testimony of the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation.
The event carried the theme “The 6,000-Year History of God Completed in Revelation.” Senior pastor Hong Hyun-soo delivered an in-depth lecture that traced the entire flow of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, highlighting God’s purpose and promises throughout history.
The Alpha and the Omega
Pastor Hong explained that God’s work began in Genesis with a covenant but that mankind failed to keep it, causing God’s departure. Yet, God’s ultimate purpose is to once again dwell with humanity. This, he emphasized, is fulfilled through Revelation, which completes the story as the “Alpha and Omega”.
He connected Old and New Testament prophecies:
-
Through the prophet Jeremiah, God promised a “new work.”
-
At Jesus’ first coming, the Old Testament was fulfilled.
-
At the Second Coming, Jesus promised to complete the work of re-creation, which is now being fulfilled.
“Jesus chose one person to see and hear the events of Revelation and to testify them to the churches,” Pastor Hong said.
The Centrality of Revelation
The message underlined the importance of Revelation:
“If anyone adds to or takes away from this book, they cannot enter heaven and will receive curses (Revelation 22:18-19).”
Pastor Hong stressed that Shincheonji Church of Jesus testifies to the actual fulfillment of Revelation and invited participants to confirm and understand the reality of the prophecies.
Voices from the Audience
The seminar left a strong impression on attendees:
-
Pastor Park (alias, 69, Naju):
“Revelation always felt mysterious, but this lecture explained the 6,000 years of biblical history so clearly in such a short time. I want to check the reality of Revelation more deeply.” -
Kim Ji-yeon (43, Gwangju):
“I used to think Revelation was something we didn’t need to know. Listening today made me realize how wrong I was. The lecture gave me a completely new perspective.”
A Growing Community in Gwangju and Jeonnam
Founded in 2010, Songha Church now has over 7,138 members across Gwangju’s Nam and Seo districts as well as Hwasun and Naju in Jeonnam Province. The church plans to continue holding large-scale seminars to testify to the fulfillment of the Word and share the hope of eternal life promised in the Bible.
