Shincheonji Thomas Tribe Jeonju Church Holds Bible Seminar: “The Word of Revelation Is Certain Proof”
On September 13, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Thomas Tribe Jeonju Church (led by Tribe Leader Kwak Jong-ryeol) successfully hosted the “2025 Jeonju Bible Seminar” under the theme “Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation.” The four-hour seminar, held at the Jeonju Church in Palbok-dong, gathered more than 1,000 participants in person and many more online, marking the beginning of Shincheonji’s nationwide fall Bible seminar series.
A Time of Understanding and Renewal
The event became a moment of clarity for attendees who had long carried questions about the Bible. Through in-depth explanation of Revelation’s prophecies and fulfillment, doubts were resolved and faith renewed.
Delivering the keynote lecture, Tribe Leader Kwak emphasized:
“If we do not repent, we cannot receive blessing. God sent His Word saying, ‘Fight and overcome the enemy, and you will receive blessing.’ This is not symbolic—it is reality. Only those who have witnessed Revelation 4 can testify with certainty.”
He explained the meaning of the seven seals, the fall of God’s chosen people symbolized as the sun, moon, and stars, and the hope of becoming “good grain stored in the barn” to receive eternal blessing.
Kwak further declared that Shincheonji alone testifies to the realities of Revelation’s fulfillment, describing it as the spiritual re-creation of God’s new Israel, the 12 tribes. He highlighted Shincheonji’s global growth, with 917 churches in Korea and 14,221 churches in 88 countries signing MOUs for Bible exchange.
Voices from the Audience
The seminar was not only spiritual but also interactive. At one point, Tribe Leader Kwak sang a line from a popular Korean song, sparking applause and creating a warm atmosphere.
-
Pastor Joseph Jung (69, Jeonju): “I feel grateful to live in this era where we can understand the meaning and fulfillment of Scripture. I also understand why the younger generation is so passionate about this place.”
-
Attendee Kim Da-in (26, Jeonju): “Just as the pamphlet said, my question marks truly turned into exclamation points. My doubts were resolved, and I left with new assurance and comfort in my faith.”
A Festival of Word and Community
The seminar also included side programs under the slogan “When You Need Healing, Visit Chapel Stay.” Praise, hands-on activities, and booths showcasing Shincheonji’s ministries allowed participants to experience the church with all five senses. The event was praised as a lively space that encouraged generational connection and strengthened local community ties.
A church representative concluded:
“Anyone curious about the Bible and the secrets of Revelation can freely study at Zion Christian Mission Center. We will continue to provide open access to lectures and programs, while building bridges with the local community in love and service.”
