Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jeonju Branch Leads Environmental Cleanup and Carbon Neutrality Campaign

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jeonju Branch (Director: Kwak Jong-ryeol) carried out an environmental cleanup and carbon neutrality campaign on October 22 in the Yeoui-dong area of Deokjin-gu, Jeonju.

From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a total of 35 volunteers participated in the “Let Nature Be Green” initiative, thoroughly sorting and collecting 15 bags of 50-liter household waste and recyclable materials by type.

Promoting Carbon Neutrality and Environmental Awareness

The campaign went beyond simply cleaning up the neighborhood. Volunteers also set up information booths to raise awareness about environmental protection, proper waste separation, and energy conservation methods. They encouraged residents to take part in everyday carbon neutrality practices.

A resident who has lived in Yeoui-dong for 20 years shared,

“It’s heartwarming to see volunteers keeping the area clean while promoting environmental awareness. The neighborhood feels brighter and cleaner thanks to their efforts.”

Strengthening Sustainability Through Community Action

A Jeonju Branch representative stated,

“Our goal is to maintain a clean and sustainable environment while fostering an eco-friendly lifestyle. We will continue working closely with local residents through regular cleanup and awareness campaigns.”

Through these ongoing efforts, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jeonju Branch continues to promote carbon neutrality and community sustainability, ensuring that environmental care becomes a shared way of life.
