Shincheonji Gwangju Church Hosts New Year’s First Word Seminar for Second Consecutive Year

On January 4, 2026, Shincheonji Church of Jesus held its first New Year Word Seminar of the year at Shincheonji Gwangju Church.

For the second year in a row, the New Year’s opening seminar took place in Gwangju, drawing a large audience from across the region.

The seminar was held under the theme “Testifying to the Fulfilled Reality of Revelation.”
According to the church, the event gathered around 200 pastors and journalists from Gwangju and Jeonnam, along with more than 30,000 church members, filling the venue.

Focusing on True Faith for Today’s Time

Participants shared that the seminar gave them time to reflect on what true faith and responsibility mean in the present era.
The main lecture explained how the prophecies written in the Book of Revelation are being fulfilled today and how those fulfillments can be examined through the Bible.

Attendees agreed that confirming and testifying to the fulfillment of Scripture, based on the Bible itself, is an important foundation of faith in today’s religious life.

Chairman Man Hee Lee’s Message on Revelation

During the seminar, Chairman Man Hee Lee spoke to pastors and believers about the importance of understanding Revelation clearly and accurately.

He stated that the time has come to confirm the fulfillment of God’s promises written in Scripture. Referring to Revelation chapter 22, he emphasized the warning not to add to or subtract from the Word. He also stressed that those who teach the Bible should first fully understand it themselves.

His message encouraged believers to pursue faith that fits the time they live in and to unite in the truth found in God, Jesus, and the Bible.

Reflections from Pastors of Different Denominations

A pastor with 15 years of experience in a Full Gospel denomination shared that he attended the seminar out of a sense of responsibility to personally hear and discern the message of Revelation. He said the Bible-based explanation and detailed interpretation of Revelation stood out to him and inspired him to place Scripture at the center of his ministry in the new year.

Another pastor with 20 years of experience in a Presbyterian denomination said he was surprised by the explanation that Revelation is being fulfilled today. He added that the seminar helped him see the importance of faith that focuses on confirmed biblical realities rather than doctrinal debate.

Encouragement to Unite with the Word

Peter Tribe leader Yoo Jae-uk explained that in John chapter 6, Jesus taught that the work of God is to believe in the one He has sent. He said the seminar aimed to help participants confirm how the realities promised in Revelation are being testified today, without distortion.

He added that the event was meant to encourage believers living in a new era to unite with the Word and commit themselves to taking part in God’s work together.

Continuing the Tradition of New Year Word Seminars

By holding the New Year’s first Word Seminar in Gwangju for two consecutive years, Shincheonji Gwangju Church continues to emphasize Bible-centered faith, testimony, and understanding of Revelation.
The strong attendance from pastors, journalists, and believers reflects continued interest in studying Scripture carefully and understanding its fulfillment in today’s world.
