Andrew Tribe's Historic MOU: A Presbyterian Church in Busan Embraces the New Covenant

The work of God is unfolding in an unprecedented way as more and more churches around the world embrace the true Word. As of now, over 800 churches in South Korea alone have officially entered into a gospel partnership with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, marking a significant milestone in the spread of biblical truth. Globally, the number of churches and seminaries that have signed MOUs with Shincheonji has reached 10,625, with 820 in South Korea and 13,805 across 88 countries (as of February 2025).

On March 27, a Presbyterian church in Busan took a bold step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shincheonji’s Andrew Tribe and officially changing its signboard to reflect this new path. This church, which has been serving the local community for over 30 years, initially entered into a gospel exchange agreement with Shincheonji in 2022. After nearly two years of in-depth Bible study and fellowship, they have now taken a step further by fully embracing the teachings of the New Covenant.

The church’s head pastor, Oh, shared his heartfelt conviction, stating, “Through God's guidance, we have chosen a new path. We want to share a deeper understanding of faith with our congregation through Shincheonji’s teachings.” He emphasized that this agreement signifies a rebirth for the church, a new beginning rooted in the true Word.

Lee Jung-woo, the leader of Shincheonji’s Andrew Tribe, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, saying, “This is more than just an agreement. It is proof that God’s promised Word is being fulfilled today. We hope that many more churches will experience transformation through the truth of the Bible.”

The rapid expansion of gospel partnerships demonstrates the power of God’s Word in bringing true believers together. As of today, 819 churches worldwide have signed MOUs with Shincheonji, and 90 churches have already replaced their signboards, openly proclaiming their alignment with the revealed Word of God. With each passing day, more pastors and congregations recognize the significance of this movement and take part in this historic shift.

The mission of Shincheonji’s 12 Tribes continues to spread across the world, touching the hearts of those who earnestly seek the truth. This year, the focus remains on expanding these partnerships and ensuring that more people can experience the joy of understanding God’s promises and His fulfillment in our time.
