UN Human Rights Council Receives Petition on Minorities in South Korea

What began as a domestic legal dispute in South Korea has officially reached the global stage. CAP LC, a prominent international human rights NGO holding special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has submitted a formal written statement to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). The petition voices growing international alarm over institutional discrimination, social stigma, and the erosion of due process affecting minority groups, specifically focusing on the recent treatment of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The Core Appeal: Decisions Must Be Based on Evidence, Not Stigma In its official submission to the UN, CAP LC shifted the focus away from internal theological controversies, choosing instead to address a more critical systemic issue: the objective standards of administrative and judicial justice. Chairman Lee of Shincheonji Continues His Mission with Powerful Message in Masan

On April 6, 2025, Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus visited the Busan James Tribe’s Masan Church, where over 4,000 believers and pastors gathered to attend a noon worship service. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation as people from all over the region—Busan, Changwon, Geoje, Jin-hae, Yangsan, and more—came together to hear the message.

At 94 years old, Chairman Lee continues to travel across South Korea, delivering blessings and teaching the word of God based on the Bible. Starting in Pohang earlier this year, his journey has reached cities like Seoul, Incheon, Daegu, and now Masan. His dedication is truly inspiring.

During the service, Chairman Lee shared a powerful message based on Revelation 22:1–5, emphasizing the importance of understanding and living according to the fulfilled prophecies in the Bible. He explained that the journey to heaven is not easy—it comes with challenges, just like the Israelites faced struggles before entering Canaan. But God's work is now being completed, and those who remain faithful will reach the promised heaven.

Chairman Lee also reminded everyone that Revelation is not just a mysterious book—it is a prophecy that must be fulfilled. He urged believers to examine themselves through the Bible, saying, “We must reflect on ourselves with the word. Only those who are sealed in Revelation 7 and belong to the 12 tribes will be recognized by God. Without being sealed, we are not truly connected to Him.”

Many pastors in attendance responded with "Amen" and expressed their gratitude for the message. One pastor shared, “Even at his age, Chairman Lee speaks powerfully without even opening a Bible. It was a moment full of grace.” Others mentioned how important it is to lay down pride and approach Shincheonji’s teaching with humility and a desire to learn.

Chairman Lee’s continuous efforts show his deep commitment not only to teaching the truth but also to guiding people toward faith based on the promises in the Bible. His message in Masan was another powerful step in fulfilling the mission of Shincheonji—to testify to what has been fulfilled, according to God’s word.
