Shincheonji Daegu Church Holds Blood Donation Campaign — 167 Participants in 3 Days

The Shincheonji Daegu Church of the Thaddaeus Tribe (Pastor Kim Soo-jin) carried out a three-day blood donation campaign on October 10, 13, and 14, with a total of 167 members participating.

This campaign was organized to help address the blood supply shortage that often occurs in the fourth quarter following Korea’s long Chuseok holiday period. It aimed to promote the spirit of “sharing life through love.”

Supporting the Community Through Blood Donation

Participant Kim Chang-jun (33, Daebong-dong, Daegu) shared,

“I’ve been donating blood since I was a student, and I joined this campaign with the heart to help others. It was especially meaningful because all the members came together as one.”

An official from the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Blood Center expressed gratitude, saying,

“We deeply appreciate Shincheonji Daegu Church and its members for consistently organizing blood donation drives whenever there’s a blood supply crisis. Their dedication inspires others in the community to take part in this life-saving effort.”

Expanding Love in Action

A representative of Shincheonji Daegu Church stated,

“We thank all the members who took time to participate right after the holiday. We will continue expanding these campaigns to practice genuine love for our neighbors.”

During the first half of 2025, a total of 888 members from Shincheonji Daegu Church successfully donated blood. Looking ahead, the church announced plans for a church-wide blood donation campaign in January 2026, inviting all members to participate.

Through its ongoing blood donation initiatives, Shincheonji Daegu Church continues to play a vital role in alleviating Korea’s recurring blood shortages and promoting the value of life and community care.
