“The World Didn’t Change — I Did”: Zion Mission Center Graduates Celebrate Transformation at Daejeon Popup Store
Shincheonji’s Matthias Tribe connects faith and community through a special graduation event
The Matthias Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus hosted a unique popup store event on November 9 at the New Cielo Café in Yongmun-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. The event was organized to commemorate the 116th graduation of Zion Christian Mission Center, offering graduates a space to reflect on their faith journey and share stories of transformation.
The Zion Christian Mission Center is a Bible education institution that provides a structured curriculum covering the entire Bible—from Genesis to Revelation. The 116th graduation ceremony, held on November 2 at the Cheongju Church, marked the completion of studies for 59,192 graduates worldwide.
Faith That Transformed Everyday Life
At the popup store, Daejeon and Chungcheong graduates celebrated their milestones through photo zones, postcards, stickers, and collectible souvenirs. Social-media hashtag events encouraged participants to share their joy online, turning the space into a warm, interactive celebration of faith.
Many graduates testified that their lives had been deeply changed through learning the Word.
A service-sector worker in his 30s said,
“Even when I worked hard, something always felt empty. But through studying the Word, I found the answer to why I live. Now, even the same routine feels lighter.”
A 50-year-old public-sector employee shared how faith restored peace within his family, saying,
“At first, I had doubts, but as I learned, everything became clear. The Bible started to connect and make sense, and conversations at home became more peaceful. Now my family worships together and shares our hearts.”
For a researcher in his 30s, the Word reshaped his confidence and outlook:
“I used to say, ‘I can’t.’ Now I believe, ‘I can.’ What I learned gave me the strength to act.”
A self-employed participant in his 60s said,
“I used to think life ended with death. But learning the meaning of spirit and life changed everything. Even small choices now carry more weight.”
A Shared Journey of Renewal
Although the graduates differed in age and profession, their stories converged on one truth — the real change began within. As one graduate put it, “The Word became the blueprint of my life.” Another added, “My definition of success has completely changed.”
A representative from the Matthias Tribe said,
“This popup event was designed to help graduates strengthen their faith commitment and continue learning and growing within the community. We’ll keep supporting opportunities for shared reflection and connection.”
Through the popup store, Shincheonji’s Matthias Tribe turned graduation into more than a ceremony — it became a celebration of transformation, gratitude, and renewed purpose.
