Shincheonji John Tribe Hosts Public Open House to Strengthen Community Communication
Approximately 500 Citizens and 40 Pastors Attend Public Invitation Event
The Shincheonji Church of Jesus John Tribe recently held a public open house event, inviting citizens and religious leaders to learn more about the church’s operations, facilities, and teachings.
The event took place on February 28, 2026, and drew around 500 attendees, including approximately 40 pastors. According to organizers, the program was designed to promote communication with the local community by allowing visitors to directly observe and learn about the church.

During the event, guests were guided through several key areas of the church, including:

Church representatives introduced the overall structure and operation of the organization, explaining the church’s history, founding background, and current activities.
The program also included information about the church’s social contribution initiatives and its future vision.
Lecture on “Finding True Blessings in the Bible”
As part of the event, Seong Chang-ho, head of the John Tribe, delivered a lecture titled:
“How to Find True Blessings in the Bible.”
In his message, Seong explained that the Bible contains many teachings about blessings and emphasizes that those who keep God’s word receive blessings.
He noted that properly understanding the Bible is essential in order to practice its teachings and live according to its message.
Participants Share Their Impressions
Attendees shared reflections on the experience of hearing explanations directly from the church.
One citizen commented that the event provided an opportunity to learn about aspects of the church that are difficult to understand through outside information alone. After listening to the lecture, the attendee expressed interest in learning more about the message taught by the church.
A Presbyterian pastor who attended also shared his perspective, saying that hearing the lecture firsthand gave the impression of a structured theological explanation and allowed him to deepen his understanding of biblical teachings.

According to a representative from the John Tribe, the event was the first public open house of the year aimed at communicating with citizens.
